Laundromat Manager Application - Part 1

We are looking for energetic and outgoing individuals to manage all aspects of store operations and employee relations, interact with and help customers, and conduct regular cleaning. General Responsibilities

  • Manage all store operations and employees at your location.

  • Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all employees.

  • Handle customer complaints and issues.

  • Perform quality assurance checks on all orders to ensure standards are met.

  • Properly train staff on how to handle pickup/delivery commercial and residential customers; and organize work flow to meet delivery schedules.

  • Order the supplies necessary to perform job functions.

  • Maintain store inventory; work with main office to order supplies as needed.

  • Complete daily cash drawer balancing; weekly store collections; reconciliation reports.

  • Ensure sufficient cash in cash drawers at all times; perform periodic machine coin collections throughout the week.

Staffing, Training & Discipline

  • Hire, train, schedule and supervise all employees to ensure store is sufficiently staffed.

  • Ensure all employees understand company, work place and code of conduct policies.

  • Perform employee reviews on a scheduled basis.

  • Manager must work 40 hours/week in the store, with one of these one of these days being on Saturday or Sunday.

  • Assume responsibility for covering vacant shifts as needed.

  • Manage and control all store expenses, including employee hours.

  • Professionally handle all employee disciplinary issues.

Hiring/Training/Discipline

  • Proactively work to keep store sufficiently staffed. Hire and train as needed to cover required hours.

  • Support all employees as needed; continue to retrain employees as necessary.

  • Keep employee records updated and perform employee reviews following the first 30 days and then annually.

  • Professionally handle all disciplinary issues that may arise; write up employees when performance, policy or procedure becomes an issue and report any such incidents.

  • Communicate with all employees to ensure they understand company policies, employee benefits, dress code, customer service standards, training requirements, quality standards, acceptable personal behavior and all other aspects of employment.

The above duties will serve as a guideline for this position, but are not intended to confine the employee. The manager will be expected to exercise a certain and appropriate amount of initiative and judgment in making his/her job more beneficial to both the company and his/her staff.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience

  • Experience in retail location. Management experience a PLUS.

  • Reliable transportation

  • Quick learner; friendly; dependable

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to be on feet for long periods of time; some lifting involved

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a PLUS
